fireworks :P
It's been quite some time now since I've last updated this blog of mine. Been extremely busy at work. Work seems to be piling up enormously with no signs of dissipating.
Recently, I've gotten my hands on my dad's Canon camera which I've been eyeing for a very long time. Honestly, it wasn't easy for him to allow me to use that particular camera. Me, the juvenile photographer so used to cutesy point and shoot cameras wanting to learn how to use his beloved Canon. He suggested that I learn to use the analogue Nikon F40 first. He mentioned something about always learning things from basics. Me <-extremely impatient.
So I made a deal with him. I told him, I'll buy him and brother dinner if they follow me to take pictures of fireworks. My brother was all for it. In fact, he helped by telling my dad to trust me with the camera on grounds that he will be accompanying me and helping me out. My dad only relented after I mastered the basic settings of the camera (within span of 30mins).
Off we trudged through the multitudes of human bodies to capture pictures of fireworks. Each of us armed with a camera. My dad and his Nikon F40, my brother with a Canon Ixus and me with my dad's Canon Mark IID. Freaking heavy that camera I tell ya! I would think that night with the camera was quite well spent considering I kind of like the pictures I took. It might be very ugly to some, but hey, my pictures are unphotoshoped like others! hahaha I'm too lazy and busy to do so. Anyway, after seeming some of the pictures I've taken, my dad said my pics were not too bad considering it was my first time with a camera of that calibre. hahaha... me, I'm just happy that I managed to capture those shots.
And alkisahnya, semenjak malam itu, ayahanda saya membenarkan saya menggunakan kamera kesayangannya dengan nasihat "kalau amik gambar tu, pastikan frame the subject betul-betul. jangan main lagau aje. kalau tak cantik, tak pe, boleh delete amik lagi. jangan kasi jatuh, jangan kasi kena air masin." etc, etc. Saya berjanji akan cuba mematuhi seberapa banyak nasihat yang telah diberikan.
