Asian Singers & my bimbette side surfacing... LOL :P

Holidays are here again albeit for about three weeks. For the past two days, I've been taking the liberty of surfing till wee hours of the morning looking for old music videos. What I've stumbled upon in YouTube was an interesting plethora of Asian music videos. My shout of thanks to MadameRosse's nieces!

Now, before you start to point an accusing finger at me being a pro american music fan, let me assure you that in my iPod, there is an even mix of asian songs in it. Honestly, I discovered the joy of listening to asian music only about ten years ago. My teen years was filled with american and brit top 40 fluffs (NKOTB, bros, color me badd, brother beyond, Earth Wind & Fire, eurythmics, erasure... the likes). Now, my taste in music I would say is more varied. From genres like bossa nova, trance, d&b, world, fado, classical, arias and such, I'm beginning to enjoy listening songs from Korea, Indonesia and the Philippines.

One of my favourites is Philippines rnb group, South Border. I simply melted when I heard them sing even though I know not a word of tagalog. And the best part, they can sing live! No lip synching. The same goes for jazzy trio Clazziquai Project. I remembered listening to their lush vocals a few years back and to this day, I've not been able to get my hands on their cd single, Rainbow. {The shops here don't bring them in! Aaargh!} And my jaunt in search of Clazziquai Project cd yesterday proved futile too!

Oh well, I'll just have to make do with YouTube for now.

By the way, I'm beginning to wonder if it was wired in me since I'm still a foetus or something to drool over Pan Asian guys, specifically those sino anglo mix. I can't help it but I just prefer guys whose half jap/korean/chinese & half anglo/caucasian. Though many might not agree with what I find cute, BUT I'm very sure Daniel Henney can be a lot of women's cups of latte. Oh another one is Japan's Koji Murofushi and Ilmari. Muahahah... must be the smiles with the dimples... LOL

Tagged Long Overdue

5 things I would do if I were a millionaire :-

1. Invest to generate more money.
2. Try to eradicate poverty in 3rd world nations by lending them some money.
3. Buy a house on some remote island and equip it with the latest gadgets.
4. Buy myself an Aston Martin DB8.
5. Travel around the world with my beloved granny and a Hasselblad H3D.

5 bad habits :-

1. sleeping 5 hours daily (if could reduce it to 1hr each day, I would have more time to work!)
2. workaholic (that's what some of my friends are calling me)
3. peeling the skin off myself (sometimes I moult)
4. showering late at night (was told it could lead to rheumatism)
5. taking too long a time in the old loo (can't help it, it's my tummy!)

5 things I hate doing :-

1. cleaning up after small children
2. dressing up in colors (feel sick each time i put on pastels etc)
3. pandering to hypocrites/pms driven figure of authorities be it man or woman because in the end I'll end up being a hypocrite like them
4. calling up helplines only to be bounced to no end
5. taking public transport (eg, trains & buses) only to encounter people with very poor personal hygiene {women & men in suits only to expose unshaven pits or too stingy to even invest in deodorant}

5 things I regret doing :- (actually each regret is a lesson learnt)

1. not pouncing on the robber who robbed me of my films while in Paris
2. not flinching away in agony when a hypocrite air kissed me a few days back
3. not taking more pictures while I was in Europe
4. spent hours wrapping up wedding berkats only to have that ingrate placed us who helped her near the freaking doorway during dinner
5. taking up an offer to study overseas (then again stupid bank rejected my application)
